I have 2 related questions....
1) Can you dye foam tires....will it hurt the foams?
2) I have 2 pair of GRPs that have 4 holes inside the inner part of the rim. If I temporarily plug those holes with say hot glue gun could I dye the grps with out getting water inside the tires?

Anyone with experience can help me out here?

1. I would say that dye would not hurt the foams since it's just water and dye.

2. Assuming you have a 100% seal between the tire and the rim, then I don't see why not.

I think you might run the possibility of melting the hot glue when you boil the tires. I'd plug them with silicone and let them cure for 24 hours.

why dont you just boil the wheels and remove the tires and dye them separately...

y not? iv removed mine as they got wet and took them out and dried them and put them back in. just a basher so prob diff for racers.
