Today I got my victory hawk that I got super cheap on ebay, it is near mint when I started it up and prepare to tune it the idle speed is fluctuating and sometimes engine just dies when I let off the throttle, I have searched the forum but can't find any carb base settings can anybody help!??

Who makes it and did you do a break in at all.

Okay I just looked it up and the pictures I see there's no air filter! Does yours have an air filter? Also did it not come with manual?

Puzzled can't find much on the net about them the engine temp gets to a nice operating temp aswell

Please help !! Could really do with the factory needle settings I anyone could guide me !!!! Any help appreciated :)

I've never heard of the brand it's turning out to be a nightmare I can get it running and sort of idling but the revs hold up for a second after I let of the throttle but I richer it up a little more and no difference ?

When I seem to Richen the low end up It helps a little I thort this is what it needed maybe I'm going the wrong way with my tuning :(

Just make sure you get rid of that crappy filter unless the rc is just sitting on the shelf. When running, use a foam filter such as the motor saver style.

I've swapped the engine out for my novarossi at the minute, the thing goes like stink :) I still need to get this engine sorted tho I'm going to strip it clean and re-seal i will get a dual stage air filter for it and start from scratch I have some base settings Sewell now for the carb now so fingers crossed :/
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for all the help
