Well the time has FINALLY come. I literally have not had a vacation in over a year but starting today I am free from work for the next 10 days. :D Not going anywhere or doing anything extra spectacular but I'm making a short list of things I'd like to do. Yay!

  • Rearrange living room (requires re-routing surround sound entertainment)
  • Complete HPI Formula 10 with my boy
  • Complete 1 full season of F1 2010 on PS3
  • Take wife out for extravagant dinner
  • Hang out with 2 friends

Sounds fun except the first one.

I envy you buddy! Could really use a couple weeks off myself. Although, I'd probably just waste most of it just sitting on my couch and existing... Been a rough year. Can't wait for Thanksgiving to get here... My first week off since Christmas!

I can't wait to get back home...I need like two days off in a row. I have not really had one of those since early May. I am sooooo ready for a break. I think I will do nothing but vegg out for a full day...underwear and couch. yeah!

Getting frustrated. Due to the arrangement of our living room the t.v. get's a lot of glare during the mid-day and makes it pretty much impossible to play very fast games. I guess I can go do some laundry and dishes... yay. At least that extravagant dinner is tonight :D

Pin a dark sheet over the window causing the glare.

You can also build your self a fort over the tv with you inside playing the game. LOL

Rubber backed curtains!

My wife has chronic migraines. Since we live in an apartment, there's not a lot I can do with the windows, but I did install rubber backed curtains in all rooms on all windows and that cuts the sun out almost completely. The only sun that gets in is above the curtains where it reflects a bit against the ceiling. Works well to get rid of nasty glare, which is good for TV and computer work... and helps the wife with her headaches. I also installed dimmers in every main light switch in the house. On her bad days, when I get home from work, I normally trip over stuff in our living room because she has it so dark.

Poor girl. My mom has been plagued with migraines all of her life. I remember growing up when she would just be crying on the couch with pillows over her head and nothing you could do to help her. One of those things you would do ANYTHING you could to help her get rid of them, but nothing did. She still gets them almost every day now but they have weakened over time to where she doesn't take shots (that didnt do anything) for them. :\
