Just got off the phone with my local post office who called me about a couple missing packages. Even though they have said in transit since the 6th, they are still sitting in Indy.

Turns out the old distribution center was getting completely overwhelmed lately, so they had to move the operation to a new facility, and it's swamped so bad they are backed up a week already, and it will likely get worse.

Since Indy is a major hub for much of the US, expect long delays for any packages going through there. At least a week.

Like I said, even though it says in transit, it's sitting in Indy, likely waiting for an available truck. The last scan before it went out to be loaded assumed there were trucks available.

I've had some minor issues with USPS lately but I'm guessing because of the holidays.
My biggest complaint is, once in awhile we get the female carrier that likes to shove a fridge sized
package in our mail box, the lady is super lazy and stahuupid.
Our normal guy is quick and puts all of our packages on the porch.

It's that time of year again.

I just ordered a dashcam for the wifes car yesterday. Amazon said it would be delivered today, but instead I just got an email about an hour ago saying it now won't be here until Tuesday - Thursday next week.

They just switched up my mail carrier too. For 10 years I have been dealing with one moronic mail carrier after another. Then about 9 months ago I got a new lady delivering my mail. She typically goes the extra few steps needed to leave packages on a lawn chair right by my door. Plus she knocks. Love her. But about 2 weeks ago I get this young kid, who is doing fine, but he puts all my packages in the parcel locker if they'll fit. Nothing to complain about I guess except those lockers are down low, and trying to get the key in the box is a pain. Pulling the packages out is even worse. I need some graphite for the lock. Nobody else wants to do it.

We have rotating postal workers and they are all lazy. :( They barely put packages on the front porch, sometimes on the step for all the world to see, rather than taking two more steps to put it next to the door. I have had packages smooshed into the mailbox that I could barely get out after a few minutes of struggling. Amazon and Fedex are my best delivery guys. always try to keep packages out of view. :thumbs-up:

sometimes they even leave it out of our view 🤣. Had some the other day that showed delivered, but nothing on the front porch or in the back patio (couple drivers are cool and bring them to the back of the house, although it’s not really a problem where we live). Figured maybe they dropped it at the neighbors. Nope, it was behind our garbage can which is on the other side of our shed 🤣

They were playing hide and seek with ya 😅

I had a package "delivered". Placed in my garage that happened to be open, on top of a stack of other cardboard boxes. 🤔
"Front door" is confusing, my garage door IS also in the front... 🙄
