Upgraded Transmitter made car faster?

Hi All,

I recently built a AE RC10 T6.2 ST and picked up Futaba T4PM transmitter to go with it. I decided to pick up an extra Futaba receiver to stick in my Losi Tenacity DB Pro to reduce the number of transmitters I have. After installing the Futaba receiver in the DB Pro, it is much much faster versus the stock RTR Spektrum DX3. Any ideas on why it's faster?

Might not have had the throttle balance calibrated at the max setting on the Spektrum?
