So I was having issues with my WLtoys 144001 2in1 ESC.. Told me to upgrade so I did reconsider since I had a crash (didn't take photos) and bent my drive shaft so I ordered the part... And some other...

In this upgrade, I used the following parts... Along with some 3D printed modifications found in www.thingiverse.com

Transmitter : DumboRC x4
Receiver : DumboRC X6F
ESC : Surpass Rocket 60A ESC (wondering how'd it fit)
Brushless Motor : Surpass Hobby F540 3930KV
Servo : Surpass Hobby 17g Digital Servo (Same size as stock. Pretty Small eh?)
Battery : Zippy 2200 mAh 3s LiPo

Then I tried fitting the battery... Oh Lord...

I don't know how am I supposed to secure my battery... But it snugly fits in there and luckily....

My 3d printed cowl / cover secures it a bit. Just a bit... I added a thin foam sheet on the side of it to add a little more security heh.. And finally....

It's DONE! That's the only 3d Printable body I could find that is FREE. I think Imma go change this bumper...

Quick question though... DumboRC X6F receiver says : 4.8~10 volts. 3s LiPo is 11+ volts... Is that okay?

A 11.1v battery fresh off the charger is closer to 12v.

I like off the beaten path builds, you did an impressive job on it.

4.2 x 3 is 12.6 not close to 12 its more.
Id keep that bumper your gonna need it when you crash
the Bec powers the rx not the main battery those can be from 4.5v to 8.4 volts..

The receiver gets its power from the ESC, not directly from the battery. As TNT said ESCs usually provide between 4.5v and 8.4v to the receiver.

I blew off my tires :3 .... Broke my bumper.... Broke my wing... I had a fun tumble :D
