hi guys, only me. jus a few updates with my 1/8 monster truck that i havnt properly used yet lol. first I'm worried bout the thread for the glo plug, i think it mite be chewed. is it poss to jus buy a new cylinder head and pop it on or try re-tap the thread? anyways, my pull start broke yesterday! it jammed, so i took it apart and the spring went everywhere lol. o well, gonna buy a new one this mornin. i can't wait to take some video's with my sports cam an get them posted! i'll let you guys know how i get on with pull start. then no doubt i will need help for tuning to optimal performance :)

cheers guys, rick

You can buy just the cylendar head buy itself, shouldn't cost more than $9 if it's a button, or $35 for the entire head if it's one-peice. The engine instructions will give more information. Tapping new threads is impossible, as all glowplugs are the same diameter.

If you have the patience, you can rewind the pullstart. It's fairly easy, if you take the time.

hey everyone, jus a quick update on my buggered car lol. took it back to the shop where i got it from, and the guy is going to have a look at the "button" (not sure what this is yet) and see if he can find a problem. the kind guy also said he will tune it up for optimal performance for me free of charge! what a guy. he assures me my car will be pulling wheelies. o yeah I've ordered a new pull start aswell, i totally nackered the pull start! can't wait to get those videos done and get them posted! look out for them guys!

cheers, rick

sorry jon2 its a "mach 28"

Just remember when you get the car back, to use small movements. What I do when I start my car is I position myself so my shoulder is about 8-10 inches from the top of the handle. This way, my hand will hit my shoulder before the rope is pulled too far.
