Update on MGT!

Damn...hopefully TH lowers tha price when it comes out. But hey...I'm still sticking to the savage. AE said that it would be in the 500 dollar range, so I'm hoping TH will lower it down to 450 or something like that. According to AE they will be selling it on retail for 800 therefore putting it at about 500 in the market. Damn.

WHHHAAAATTTTTT!!!!! The T-Maxxer is about $400 and the MGT is about $500. Big diffrence there buddy:yes:. Also, fall is very long, maybe too long. I want a MT to play with during the summer!

Hey has anyone else heard the rumor of why the Monster GT isnt out yet? I was told today by my LHS that they were told that associated gets there engines built by Thunder Tiger. And Associated wanted a .21 built but Thunder Tiger wanted to put the monster of all engines in it .70 Has anyone heard this???

umm...yes there is a TTR .21 in it and that Is good news. I like TTR engines for some reason. The .70 would probably be an overkill of an engine. I dont believe that they are delayed because of that. The release date was set to Fall 2003 in 2002. But rumors are rumors. I heard a rumor that Kwong's TC3 can beat other cars...but hey.

regarding the AE MT i still think that even after the negativity, it will be just amazing. AE is kinda known for not being the biggest, or the fastest, oer even the most advanced, but they are always the best, and the winner. I have a feeling that this truck will be almost unbreakable, and very very well built. I am looking at getting something new within the next few months, and have had a difficult time getting myself to save the extra money for an MT, when an ST is so much cheaper, but i think that this may be worth it...we shall see.

and BTW, everyone is comparing it to the maxx and savage, and complaining that it costs more. lets not forget that the RC10GT, and the NTC3 also cost more than their respective hpi and traxxas counterparts, and sell just fine.

well, if the monster GT is of as high a "racing" caliber as the RC10GT or the TC3, itll be worth it. doesn't seem THAT much better than the savage. But Traxxas better start changing the T-maxx or they will be outta the MT winners stand faster than they got up there. :OT: but, why does all of ae's cars and trucks have slang except for MGT? AE, RC10GT, RC10T3, B4 Stealth, TC3, etc. etc.

well gt doesn't mean grand touring in the 1/1 world - it is italian and means gran turismo. which has no bearing to the RC10GT since it is an offroad truck.
