Oh nice shocks Rolex...I have another set of LST shocks I am going to put on mine Figured I would do the the conversion on it as well. I just need it to be good and bashable so I figure that will do it.I am glad you decided to go with a larger single motor I think it will be a lot easier in the long run. Looks like the baby will be coming along nicely!
 
I've really started pouring out the cash in the last week. I think I have 3 or 4 packages still in the mail.
Soon it will be the Lipo batts and a new charger.
I need a new hobby. Knitting or wood carving should cost a lot less than this.
 
I just got the brushless motor mount conversion. Other than that, I ordered a new engine mount from Nova since I didn't think I'd need it, and gave away the stock mount. :hehe:

It seems that the brushless mount needs to mount on the engine mount. I hope that amounts to some sense.
 
Just a quick update.
The big bore shocks are mounted on the front only. I'm still running the double stockers on the rear, for now.
New Rx is bound to the transmitter, steering servo is the HS 645MG and everything is connected and trimmed out.
I'll be running a mechanical brake, and that's a Spektrum servo, mounted but no linkage set up yet.
Waiting for a few more parts to arrive.
 
It's an extended frame FLM chassis. Came without an engine, but it has the nitro 2 speed trans. I'm in the process of going brushless with it.
 
Wow the muffler on your yellow one looks like it's actually seen some heat? Maybe I need to clean my glasses.
 
Well, I've run into some problems. The extended FLM chassis is just not made for electric, so I'll have to order their brushless conversion set for $185.
I'll be pulling some parts off this one, then I'll have it for sale.

Racer, you'll be able to follow the build since I'll be de-anodizing all the purple parts. :)

This is the tranny forward conversion. Note the length of the drive shafts on the top left.
Everything including the batts sit inside the plates.

Well, here's an update.
All those parts, and then some arrived today.

Time for the brushless animal to start taking shape.
There's quite a backlog at FLM since this conversion kit is now in high demand. It took almost a month to get here.
It's Fast Lane Machine....WELL worth the wait.
 
All that metal on the (supposed) trailer queen. As a new comer that is like realizing a dream for me, because when I finally do spend the money to get a good Nitro, that's exactly what I wanted to do.

I'll have some black anodized parts for sale soon. Funny thing is, it's the black that attracted me to it.
Actually it's FrickenJoey's fault that I bought it in the first place.
