Yesterday while I was running the Flux the speed control went up in flames. I have no idea why, the batteries are fine, I managed to get it put out before it damaged the truck but I think I need a new motor too. Truck was sitting still and just broke out in flames. Luckily it didnt take off. This is all a factory setup, i havent changed gears or anything.

Maybe i will stick with the traxxas Brushless MAxx lol.

Man I feel bad for you that sucks.


Any reason to why the esc would do this?
 
I dont want one as bad now!

Their really durible intell caught on fire!

Yeah i think it is too but i think they should replace it to since the truck is only 2 months old and only has maybe 10 packs run through it

I dont have any idea why it happened. Remember that the Emaxx has the same speed control and motor. Its a Castle Mamba Monster

Nope not now, I emailed them today hopefully they will take care of it.
 
Yeah but urs is labeled blur, not mamba monster lol thats ur problem.
 
Thats never good. For that to happen it could be cracked circuit board, shorted power leads, moisture ingress. You do any heavy landings that could have knocked it about abit? I'm not familiar with any of the flux's, what do those parts cost?

yep i smacked a curb with it saturday but the truck was on its wheels. It did jar it to the point where i had to come home and reset the speed control but as i said the speed control didnt take the hit, the truck did.

The full setup is 300... And i guess you didnt get what i said, the wires say Castle Creations its a mamba monster no matter what the sticker says :)
 
Theres a H bridge inside that lets the low voltage controll the power to your motor this is made up of transistors and diodes if one of those diodes went which I'm pretty sure it did (there like a electric check valve) the polarity reversed and set it a blaze.If thats powering your reciver theres a chance that could be screwed. Sorry for the loss get it back theres a one in a million chance that will happen again.:whhooo:
 
An Update would be great, I hope your running again, While your at it you should grab some hop ups like rpm or axail beadlock black chrome wheels would look sick on ur rig.
 
Got to ship the motor and speed control to them. Looks like no Flux for at least 2 weeks. They did ask what kind of batteries, guess theyll use that and deny any warranty....
 
What batteires where you useing and would that cause them to deny your stuff?
 
Theyre Sky Lipos. In theory they can't deny a warranty because they are over the minimum specs but its been my luck...lol
