hey whats up

i finaly got my xtm x-c running i had to wait for some parts, pull start, fail safe...cool

ok well any ways as you may allready know the x-c goes fast like around 40-46.. i was driving it in like -3 (cold) and i was like full speed and damn! the turning seems like it is slow! like, it can control good when its going slow but high speeds for get it! the truck takes you! well ithink thats what you get more speed, =less handling, --

and another thing i wanted to ask was...my x-c gos FAST! i am not complaining... but it take atleast 100ft. to reach full speed,...A.K.A. SLOW exceleration.... i dont know how to fix this or even if i can, or should...... well thanks alot !!!

x-c is goood! get one if u have the chance!

My guess is that it's just to cold. Batteries die fast in sub-freezing temps. Plus, with the cold, any lube you have on the linkage is going to be exceptionally stiff, which will hinder turning speed as well.

Check your bats and linkage. You may have something binding. I had my xxxnt run away on me in the winter. It was my first RC and i bought it in december 2 years ago. I learned fast that bats die in the cold. It cost me about $50 for a new set of parts to put it back together.

The accelleration could be your gearing. Gear it up some and you'll get loads more off-the-line accelleration. You'll sacrifice some top-end speed, but if it's that slow off the line, you'll be more than happy with it.
To gear it for more low end, you can either get a clutchbell with fewer teeth, or get a spur gear with more teeth. For the clutchbell, try one with 2 less teeth than you have now, for the spur gear I'd try one with 3 or 4 more teeth and see how you like that.
Good luck!

cool, thanks great advice!! ill play around with the gears

thanx

but ya know what I totally forgot about your LSN. It's possible that you're running really rich on your LS. You may want to try leaning it out some before you mess with the gearing, that may be your problem and not cost you a dime!
