Ugh...Tariffs

Its difficult fir me to separate the 2 issues as they are interwoven so tightly.
I am not a follower of any party. I am not trying to make it about 1 side or the other in that sense.
Its about rich and not, 3%-97%... I would(and did) talk the same way about a good number of our past 'leaders' similarly. Any of them trying to mislead any of us into believing that just because the oval office approves it, it must be good for us.
Nonsense.
The tariffs don't need to be there no matter who is behind the bull(sh!t) horn.
@DavidB1126 's post is the tip of the iceburg. 😐

I wish none of us were duscussing this at all. ☹️
Well, look at it this way. There's this zillionaire named China who gets his money from monopolizing all the businesses. He keeps taking businesses away from this guy named Merica. Well, Merica has finally had enough and decided to get his businesses back even if it causes a riff amongst his current businesses. He knows that it will only be temporary.

How ever it plays out, we'll see soon. I hope I'm wrong. I hope it all goes fine and quickly.
I think thats optimistic too.
The temporary thing is really where I think the break is.
The tariffs might be temporary. Manufacturers, retailers... will ride the wave for as long as possible.
I base that on when fuel prices spike & raises costs but then gas prices return. The price of shipping, products on the shelf will remain at the raised rate though.
Whenever 'shortage' 🙄 happens.

Well, your wife will say you're wrong, but us men stick together and say you're right. However, most of the time, end up being wrong. Then again, my assumption, there, could be wrong.
Sounds right! 🤔

I think no coincidence that HW prices increased and then these do too. 😉
I should have looked again, I thought it was HW. Anywho, still can moonlight selling spektrum electronics 😄

Well, China stuff has gone up and gas has come down. I need the gas, but not the China stuff. Yesterday was the first time I paid less than $4, per gallon of gas, in a few years. In January, I was paying $5. I have 4 vehicles to fill every other week.

For the record, our tariffs, on China, are still less than the tariffs that China has on us. They are at 145%. We are at 125%.

All things should be equal in my opinion.

Gas here in the hills and hollers of TN is around $3.50.

A country boy will survive (by paying less for gas)

We are still getting screwed here.
