OK I can't find the answer to these questions probably because they're just too stupid for anyone to ask. First, do you have to put oil in the engine of a nitro car (for example a Revo) -- I'm assuming it's mixed in with the fuel, like on a lawnmower (2-cycle).

Secondly, you buy the gallon of fuel at the hobby store -- and it's already mixed with everything it needs, and ready to pour in, right? I don't have to mix it with gasoline or alcohol or any type of lubricating fluid, right?

Thanks.

Its not a stupid question.

You have to buy your fuel at the hobby store. You can't mix gas and oil, it just won't work.

Second question...yes when you get the fuel from the hobby shop you can pour it in and go. No mixing, I would reccomend shaking the bottle before you pour, but thats just my own thing.

No really its not a stupid question, believe me in the time that I've been here I've seen some stupid questions!

Sounds like Logical questions to me thats been logicaly answered. Now go buy some fuel and have some fun:)

I agree VB.
Not a dumb question for someone new to nitro.
The fuel is a mixture ready to go.

You will have many questions, and we will have the answers.
Welcome to the site.

We would be able to recommend what fuel to buy if we knew what engine/vehicle it was in. Planes/heli's use different fuel than ground vehicles.

You need to be mildly concerned with nitro percentage and oil percentage. In most cases, fuel with 20% nitro and at least 12% oil suit most bashing needs. A little less oil and a little more nitro for racing.
