i have a .16 race car engine and i think i just messed up a setting. my care does pretty good, but when it goes to idle and when i give it gas it reves down really bad, almost killing it. What needle needs to be adjusted. (my engine runs hot also, so what should i do bout that.)

richen the HSN a few hours and make some high speed runs.....temp it....get it within the acceptable range as per your manufacturers temp range...(typically between 210-250/260)....then if your off the line punch isn't what you want then start leaning your LSN in small increments at a time.....make sure after you make any adjustment to make a few passes before you make another change so you know you're engine is responding the correct way you want it to....and finally read every thread about engine tuning on this and any other RC site before you start another thread on a topic that's been done to death......

The HSN needle controlls the temp,

What are you using to take the temp.

I'm not usin anything, but i can tell when i touch the head it burned my fingers off.

What do you expect then, these engines usually run at 200-260 F.

Your engine may be fine, like I said, try taking the temperature.
