I ran a search and could not find what i was looking for so i am posting. I am getting a fantom .27. I do mainly dirt bashing. I am putting it in a savage. What do you think would be the best tuned pipe for my needs?

Also what gearing should i go with?(i want my front wheels on the ground without sacraficing any power).:D

Thanx bandit

You could try the THS pipe for the savage. Not much is known about that engine so i don't really know but the THS could be a good option. I would use the 18 tooth clutch bell to try and keep the wheels on the ground.

Maybe switch to a metal spur gear.I was bashing yesterday with my 24.7pro and demolished a spur after about 2 tanks. It didn't eat the teeth though.Instead the washer and spring melted through the gear and ruined it.I'm not exactly sure why it did this but I think the new mill had something to do with it.If the Fantom is as powerfull as it's supposed to be you might run into similar troubles.

I'm runnning the THS pipe. It's a nice pipe but I'm not of the affect it had on the engine since I put it on the same time I swapped motors. It is pretty quiet though. My freinds has an FR18 with a Werks pipe on his Maxx and it much louder than mine is.Come to think of it......Fantom will probably release a Werks pipe for the Fr27 engine real soon.

cool, thanx for the info.

Anyone else got a pipe to reccomend?

Try the RD Logics one piece tuned pipe. It has heritage in the 086 series tuned pipes and is a great runner on big block engines.

Beef up the weak suspension and you'll never worry about doing wheelies again.
