Hi wondered if anyone can help. I put 4 fresh AA batteries in and the servos work for about a minute and then the batteries just run flat?
Any advice gratefully received.

Kindest wishes

John

Are you sure the batteries are good? Are they new? After the batts go flat are they hot at all?

Batteries brand new. No they aren't warm. Tested batteries in a torch and dead.
Do you have a way to check the voltage on your AAs after youve charged them? I'm wondering if theyre really getting charged or if they are holding a charge. If there was a short the batteries would be getting hot. What kind of AAs are they? alkaline, NiMH, NiCD? What brand? What are you using to charge them if they are rechargeable? Pics may prove helpful too.

Hi,
I'm using Duracell. I think I've identified the problem. It was a connection break in a blade connector.
So thank you I've also learned a lesson.
Don't believe a torch with a duff bulb!!!!!
Thank you for help.

RTR nitro vehicles typically come with a 4 AA battery holder to power the electronics. been the standard for quite some time, though generally very recommended to upgrade to a 5 cell NiMh RX (hump pack in most situations, but occasionally a flat pack) with 1500Mah or more to get more power and longer battery life.
possible to upgrade to a LiPo pack but requires high voltage electronics or a BEC to reduce voltage to 6.0V.
