My very first trx4m rig. I haven’t had the heart to change the body. I have upgraded a few things starting with the injora LCG frame. I took it out to the rocks and it didn’t do to bad for a heavy top rig. I did notice tho, the rear tires seem to be a bit more forward than I remember. Should I get a high trail high clearance links and driveshart to stretch it a bit?
Here it is on the rocks.

Did you put aftermarket links on it? And I believe there are different mounting spots for links on your new frame rails. Moving the links back would open it up.

Yes, I have injora high clearance links on it. Hmmm, I didn’t see that. I will check it out. I just need the tire a tad back.
Thanks

I don’t get why tho, the frame is specifically for the defender. I checked and there is no other holes for the links. Not really sure what happened here.

Are your shocks longer than stock? That would do it.

The springs look completely compressed. The fender gap is also huge.

Let's see some body off photos so we can see what's going on there.

Looks like you have a ton of weight on that body.

Ok, I will shoot more pix when I get home.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate this.

I've been staring at your pictures on my phone, then on my PC trying to get a handle on what happened here.

Something is incompatible and I feel it's the link/chassis combo.

Maybe you mixed up the rear top & bottom?

I have a relatively stock one and a completely aftermarket one. Neither of the driveshaft/U Joint angles look like yours and the rear shock angles look off to me.

This is a Bronco length chassis. Look at my rear shock placement compared to yours and my diff output angle looks quite different.

If it was fine with the old rails then I would say put it back or take it apart and measure some new rear links.

Ok then, those links were shorter than the ones for the defender. I swapped them out for a new set and the rear tires are now where they should be.
While on that, I stretched out my ir40 🙂
Thank you guys. Y’all rock!

Perfect! That looks more like it!

Happy to help!

Looks like it's sitting really high? As the suspension droops the wheel base will get shorter, that might be why it looks shorter.

I would take out he preload and get it lower. Crank the collar all the way up.

Then lay down the shocks just a bit. Not this much, just a few holes.

Done and done!! Those were failed attempts to stop torque twist a while back and I just did the same with the same with the new frame. I fine tuned the rear to push it out a bit. It’s looking better.
