TRX 3.3 bearing question

I heard the TRX 3.3 bearings go bad pretty quick, I've just finished the break-in and bought some replacement Boca bearings, these ones - https://www.bocabearings.com/products/enk-164c-lp-9753

They've just arrived but the rear bearing isn't sealed, as the picture and description lead me to believe. The stock bearing is sealed. Do you think this will be an issue?

Proper high quality rear bearings are never “sealed”.. “Seals” are always in place to keep dust, and dirt OUT, and lubrication IN. Think about this; why would a seal be needed for a bearing that is 100% INTERNAL 🤷🏻‍♂️.. If you get dirt inside your engine, that bearing will be the least of your issues-as that motor will be garbage immediately.

Install as per Boca’s recommendation.

Never saw one fail in person either.. As with ALL nitro glow 2smoke’s, bearing maintenance is part of proper engine maintenance. I replace them when they begin to head south. Never been much for wasting money replacing stuff that’s not bad.

I've got some proper high milage 3.3's and I've never had an issue with the bearings myself.

Traxxas carbs are a whole notha story.

If you learn to tune and keep tuned a Traxxas carb your doing well.. they are "finicky" little things imo.

I seriously blame traxxas carbs for a huge part of the reputation nitro has gotten for them being difficult to tune or always needing to be tuned.

People can vouch... 1 of my favorite trucks is the tmaxx..... but their carbs are junk.
