I'v seen a truggy (your pic didn't work) I think a stadium truck is half buggy half monster

it's not that i'm looking for the size of a buggy and that 4 wheel drive of a monster truck because then i would get a buggy because thery have 4 wheel drive. i'm looking for the durability and speed of a buggy with the ground clearance of a monster truck(also 4 wheel drive for more intense off-roading). so therefor i am looking for a truggy and not a stadium truck.adium truck.

???
A stadium truck is not half buggy and half monster truck. A truggy is though. A stadium truck is much smaller than a 1/8 scale or MT.

Put Jumbo Kongs on an MT and you would have- smallness, 4wd, and even more clearance than a truggy.

got_nitro?,

i don't think you understand what i sant from the buggy part. i don't want the smellness. i want the acceleration/speed, the agility, and the durability of a buggy. if i use a MT i won't get those things, becuase they are to big. so i geuss i do want the size but it's not the size that i actually want, its the things that come with the size(speed, agility, and durability).

was your previouse comment sarcastic or seriouse? i hope it was sarcastic because your idea is not even close to what i am looking for(except or ground clearance[which is actually a lot more than i want] and the 4 wheel drive).

I'm sorry if I confused u but I meant put jumbo kongs on the HPI MT stadium truck. To much ground clearance? an HPI MT? No. A stadium truck does have all those things, in my opinion anyways.

HE...HE

What in the h#*! are you talking about??? This thread is was intended for feedback pertaining to Truggy feedback, COMPRENDES?????

it says that it's a racer truck and the a .12 - .15 engine should be put in it. it just doesn't seem like it would be a good basher, which is what i am looking for. could i just put a bigger engine in it or would major mods be requiered?

nitrotruckn,
You caught me!!!:cheerful: You're not suppose to be on this board, LOL. I guess I won't surprise anyone now when I break out the Mugen / JT conversion. As for Paragould, they race every weekend. It's a nice track and every bit of 2x the size of Travis's track. Lookin' forward to seeing you guys there.

Back to the topic at hand, the HPI 1/10 scale MT is not a truggie. All truggies have big block engines (SINCE THEY ARE BASED ON AN 1/8 SCALE BUGGY).

been reading this thread and...

HPI NMT's are junk. I had one, wait 3 of them.. I was given two other ones because they were such crap. The NMT's could barley handle an OS CVR.15. They are fragile too. they would break just flipping driving across the lawn. lol.. put jumbo konngs on an NMT? your kidding right? It would barley be able to move and if it did get moving it would probably strip the spur gear, bend the chassis, and snap dogbones.

As far as putting a .21 in an NMT.. I tried it... I put .21's on all my junk Rc's that I pick up for cheap just to do it (ha a they are almost all HPIs too). The diffs are too weak (even the horribly expensive hardened steel ones), the chassis is too weak, the dog bones are too weak (MIP CVD's are too weak also), overall an NMT is nowhere near as durable as a truggy.

An NMT is not a truggy or anywhere near a truggy. you've obviously never had a truggy so you don't know that. so now...

... back to truggy's.

Yes you can run paddle tires on a truggy most all of them are compatible with maxx tires so that won't be a problem. ground clearance is no worse than any other monster out there imo. they all have about the same clearance under the diffs. the only place where a monster had added clearance is in the center of the chassis which I believe doesn't halp much. I see monsters get hung up all the time on the piping at the track, while a truggy will just tilt itself over the piping and keep going.

I've been hearing good things about the new GS unlimited truck latley and have seen a nice setup mugen running the JT conversion riping around the track.

i believe you havto own or have drivin an 1/8 scale buggy before you understand the appeal of a "truggy". 1/8 buggys handle, jump, accelerate and fly like no other R/C on the planet...IMO that is yes..but I'm sure other fellow R/C'ers will agree. now with a truggy..its the same thing as a 1/8 buggy...but with different gearing, larger wheels/tires, and body. with maybe a slight loss in handling and different reaction to airborne throttle/brake input (much more sensitive) and increased offroad mobility...you have the same thing as a buggy. I'm very interested in the GS storm unlimited truck as my next R/C purchase, and plus there is already a big aftermarket for the GS storm..which is 75% compatible with the unlimited...peace--

No woder no one ever talks about NMT's. I didn't know they were crap. I'v only had experience with one truck. The rusty. I own a maxx but have not yet even seen a maxx in person. (long story, at my dads)
