True the trend is 1/8 buggy but even more now truggy. The ST class is still strong. Drake, korn are drivers that still are in that class.

Just because a trend is growing in the 1/8 class doesn't mean the 1/10 class is dead.

no its not dead, its just on a huge decline in the past 10 years. Remember when 1/8 scale was tiny? Seemed that the media had all its focus on 1/10 scale.

But yeah, the manufactures are pushing their top tier drivers in the truggy department.

We all should know by now that AE is gonna hop into the truggy game too... AE and Losi... the classic Red vs Blue wars :D

Duratrax's truggy is bound to come out too.

Your statement was as broad as a fat ladies ASS!!!
As far as off road racing goes, Yes 8th is dominating. As far as 10th scale and the over all hobby there is an increase in 10th sales and...... ELECTRIC is on the uptake over Nitro.

If you would have narrowed your statement to Off Road Racing, I would have agreed, but thats not what you said.

i'll believe electric is on the uptake when i see it. There simply aren't any drivers showing up to the tracks for the electric class here anymore.

MNRC series... only 9 electric guys showed up. 4 for the first round, and only 1 returned for the 2nd round to compete with 5 others.

Plenty of others would agree too. Electric is a lot more popular in Europe and Asia, but nowhere near as popular here.

Everyone keeps saying it's a V....It could easily be an M. I don't think it will be an update on any of their current models, they didn't make this big a deal with any of the other updates. I'm guessing 1/8 truggy/buggy which is just as useless as a boat to me.

I think RCPS Rd1 for the Midwest had 30 total entries for 1/10th out of 288. There was even less for Production MT. The KY State Series race I was at last weekend only had like two heats, maybe 20 1/10th's. And like I said our club races have had 0 turn out and we've been lucky to get enough production MT's to have a heat (3 trucks) and we have been averaging about 35-40 entries between 1/8th and Arena. The local indoor track has seen 1/10th dyeing as well, they had a couple weeks of 0 or maybe only 5 total show up. I know a lot of guys that just don't like 1/10th myself included in that. Arena Truck (Truggy) is the next big deal and I really think if some other manufacturers jump on with the 1/12th Truggy like the Jammin .5 it will take over.

Traxxas has a rotating V on their website. From what I've surfaced is that its supposedly a 1/8 scale vehicle... a truggy.

I just read this in the big ass thread on the Traxxas site...I'm thinking it might not be a VoIP

I'm just surprised that people are still falling for that. Especially given the fact I stated I was pulling everyone's leg. I've seen it posted on several forums. It just goes to show that people are browsing through the posts a little too quickly!

well hopefully traxxas makes the jump.

1/8 is all i run :D

Oh and btw, that post wasn't from whoever "mis" is.

lol.. You would argue with God himself wouldn't you?:hehe:

Thats definitely possible.. I would really like to see Traxxas come out with a 1/8!(Even thought I'm getting a savage next I still would like to see what this new "V or M"looks like)

oye... traxxas's history is not that great. The only vehicle they have that might be worth getting is the revo.

Everything else, is Redcat Racing quality.

being that 1/10 scale is a dying class, i'm not doubting that its a truggy

The ONLY 2 companies that are in the ST class are losi and AE. If stadium truck truly was as popular as you and eddy have stated, we'd see all sorts of other stadium trucks competing on the same level. No mugen, no kyosho, no jammin, no ofna, no xray. Stadim trucks are something that are pretty much raced in the USA. You dont see any ifmar races for them, and you certainly do not see much 1/10 nitro truck activity anywhere else in the world.

Last time I saw someone talk so much out of their ass was Jim Carrey in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective."

Goodness man, jump on the bandwagon or off, but quit dry-humping it!

Haha man the guys over at the traxxs forum are going nuts over this, there page count is up to like 53 or something.

well they said thursday they would release what this "V" ment...I don't care too much but damn..1 ka-jill-billion posts in like 5 days has me wondering?:ponder2:

You dont read my posts well do you.
I'm sure that Nitro and 8th is huge in the OFF ROAD RACE CIRCUTS but 95% or so of RC drivers arent racing.

As AN INDUSTRY Electric is on a HUGE upswing due to the Brushless motors and Lipo / longer lasting batteries. 18th scale Electrics sell 95% of that market. OFF ROAD isnt the only thing going either. On-road cars have a huge market. The On-road racing crowd is loosing just as many nitro racers as off road is loosing electric.

Again your observations are from a local point of view and whats happening at your track may be true but its opposite of whats happening in the RC market as a whole.

Oh he reads post alright.. far enough to find something to argue or disagree about..:argue: Just kidding.. Every one is entitled to their own opinion but making a statement such as 1/10 scale and electric is dead is a little off..

All that bull poop and hype over a freakin brushless system! Traxxas is loosing my vote anymore, they just keep slipping behind, they need a big block or tryggy or even a buggy to buy me back. but just my oppion!
