Here are the pictures of the 2.5 swap into my basic nitro sport. Need to get 2.5 nitro rustler headers. I do like it out the back but i can't fit the body over the exhaust. Also need to put new gas tank in. RTV worked for test runs.

Thanks. I do have to work on tuning it a little. You like the JB weld job on the muffler? When i was test running the car lost control in my garage and flipped over and the gear wore a hole in it. LOL it was great.

I got a spare Rustler 2.5 header lying around, I got one with my conversion kit but I didnt know it was included so I'd already bought one off Ebay, Also I've actually seen a rear shock tower that allowed a dual exhaust to exit through it made for the Nitro Rustler and the Nitro Sport uses the same rear shock tower, you would still need the 2.5 header but it looks sweet, I already had an aluminum rear shock tower when I found these, PM if you want me to want the link I'll see I think I have it bookmarked somewhere.

Oh man. You wouldnt believe what happened yesterday. Me and my friend were driving my 2.5 Nitro Sport around were on the main road where I live. The speed is 45 on the road and the NS was catching up to all the cars untill it would die and then I would drive it to the side of the road. I then decided to richen up the mixture a little to see how she would run and it was wheelie city too easy lol. The last run we did the crystal must have fell out and the car got stuck flored and it plowed into a telephone pole. Can you believe all that broke was the shock caps and i was able to screw them back together. Ha. But the crystal is no where to be found. Do you think the wheelies made the crystal get lose and fall out or it fell out when it hit the telephone pole? Hummm. Its a brand new Traxxas controller and reciever on the rc. But it is running and driving again lol. Was a great crash tho.

rustler/ rustler 2.5 parts are compatible, but traxxas just came out with a new nitro sport!!!

they make parts!!!

it is the same exact truck, just the plastic is gray

I have been using NR and NS parts. I got a stampede body on but the rear shock tower hits the body. I have my 1st real paint job on the body and i dont want it messed up by the shock tower. I sanded the tower down and it doesn't hit so bad but is there a way I can get it not to hit, I will post pics in a few when I get a chance.

Hit edit/delete, then go to advanced options, edit and save.
