Traxxas slash rear shocks?

Okay so I recently acquired a Traxxas Slash 4x4 not the LCG model. My question is the rear shock caps keep blowing off constantly. I have a set of two Traxxas big bore tmaxx shocks with the Tini shafts was wondering if they are the same length as the rear slash shocks. Or is there any recommendations to a good set of shocks that work really well on the slash all the way around. I plan on doing some running at our local track seeing as freakin SC has taken over all racing here thought I would get back into it some. Also what revo slipper fits? I keep hearing guys say do the revo slipper upgrade it's much better than stock slash.

I like the big bores, mine are holding up very well and they don't cost a small fortune. For the slipper, I use these: 5351 (Slipper plate) and 5352R (Heavy Duty pads)
