Traxxas slash 6 cell vs 7 cell batteries

I have a Traxxas Slash on order and I was wondering if I should get a 6 cell or 7 cell battery? Does a 7 cell battery make a big difference? I am leaving the stock motor in because i want to drive it in all weather conditions. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Running a 7 cell battery will give you a higher top speed and more over all power vs. a 6 cell battery, but the run time will be about the same if both batteries are the same mah...

+1 The 7 cell will give you more power, well, revs anyway and she WILL go noticeably quicker.

Will having the 7 cell battery not cause a shorter life span of the engine then the 6 cell? I have no clue, but am currently running 6 cell right now myself.

Well yes, probably. But the 12T Titan is a throwaway motor anyway. The good news is they cost, like $20.
