Okay, so after dumping 1k into a savy and a MAXX, who the hell prevails?

And I mean 1k worth of LEGIT strengthening and performance pieces, no Intecrap or anything cheap.
 
^^ROFL^^, I wish I could drop 1k into any ole rig, the only time I went over 1k is on my first AX10, then I started whoring rigs.
 
You wouldn't need to dump a grand into a Savage. Oh and by the way HPI-killer that vid didn't show all the times I landed on the lid or the nasty cartwheel crashes I had that would have killed a T-MAXX and I saw in another post that you wished you had the coin for a Savy so don't be a hypocrite.
 
I'm not a hypocrit bro, dont get all butt hurt because the MAXX was in a a hell of a more rougher area than you, and yeah I think both trucks are fn sick, I never took a side, I like the MAXX because it was my first adolescent 'want' in the RC world, so shut your damn mouth

Oh and by the way, I am sure it didnt show all the tumbles and crashes of that MAXX either.

I think we're all just a bit crabby from being stuck indoors for sucky winter weather, just my opinion though.

A lot of people probably don't understand the coin I sunk in a Pede. But you know what, I love that truck like no RC I've ever built and I'll hopefully always have it. It wasn't about the money I spent, or the bling, it was about something bigger than that to me. We all love our brand or particular trucks, and there's nothing wrong with that at all as long we're having fun, that's the key to the whole thing. Group hug time :grouphug: :D
 
I've seen that vid that guy has a lot of cool vids his production and editing are really cool. He goes by the name gokartking45 on youtube. I was just saying he says he's not an HPI fan but in other posts he stated that he wished he had the coin for a Savy yet on this thread he told the guy to go for the T-MAXX just sounds a little hypocritical to me. Sorry if offended but that's just my opinion no I wasn't in as rough an area as the T-MAXX vid but at least I was getting mine off the ground and my XL is box stock in that vid except for the engine because let's face it the 5.9 is a crap engine but everything else is bone stock. So back to the subject of the OP as you can see this question will spark a lot of debate. To put it bluntly it all depends on your personal preference. I have had experience with both trucks and imho the Savage is a better basher in stock form without mods and upgrades. The T-MAXX needs mods and upgrades to make it a sturdy basher but even then imho it still isn't quite as good but it's still a fun truck. The second vid I posted isn't mine but I think it shows just how tough the Savage line of trucks are.

I'll put my Revo up beside any HPI. Any day. I am not biased either. I like em all. My Revo has taken quite the beating from Day 1
 
That's all good but he was asking about the T-MAXX vs the Savage not the Revo. I had the Revo too but once I got my hands on a Savage I got rid of all my Traxxas stuff. My nieghbor bought my old Revo and gave it to his boy. Now he wants a Savage so bad he can't stand it. Especially after we hit wheel to wheel and he went home in pieces and I kept on bashing.

I'm almost certain the title of this says "Traxxas or HPI?" I was just going off of that kind sir.

You didnt disagree with me, you treid to pick a fight because aparently you think I'm a hypocrit. I was simply saying the comparison of bashing spots to each video with how gentle yours looked, versus the MAXX at the pit. I dont fight with everyone that disagrees but I will be damned if I am called names or what have you that arent true.

And yeah HPIGuy its been almost 3 weeks since I have played last and I'm starting to fiend!

I did put over a grand in my Revo including Titanium skid plates, so I know how easy it is to go overboard.

And it happens so fast too, once you start your like I can upgrade this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this! Oh yeah and this!!:hehe:

Totally worth it though, no matter how much I dump into a rig and how much I dont get back when I sell, is worth it to me. I love the hell out of this hobby, and the mojority why is because of RCNT!

Amen to that!!! The upgrading never ends though....once I think that I will stop for a while, my mind starts to swirl with new possibilities.:D
