Let me guess, a FREE account email service such as yahoo, hotmail, like that?

Many message boards won't allow new memberships with free email account services, it's too easy for spammers to create a throwaway email to post important messages about pharmaceuticals, OEM software, and escort services in your city. In other words, free email accounts are the largest source of spam for message boards.

Not that this changes anything. That's probably just the why.

I agree with Rocknbil, I bet that's why it says your email is banned. I don't blame Traxxas for doing this, in fact RCNT has banned a very large list of free email services from just about day one.

When I signed up here a few months ago I was not able to use the yahoo address I use for my business, but usually everybody has some sort of email from the provider.

The traxxas forum is imho a melting pot and there is so much B/S posted that it becomes hard to keep up. 9 year old kids trying to sell/ buy their trashcans sometimes with daddy sitting right behind the junior watching...

Signatures are only allowed to be so long, and you can't post a solid opinion about problems/ experiences with traxxas products.

I had my Revo for sale there and was approached by:

1 11 year old that had no clue how to pay for it...
1 9 year old that outsmarted himself and daddy had to chip in
10+ 30-40 yearold somethings that had the language and onlinebehavior of trailertrash...

I have not found a forum that compares to this one, the level of control exercised by our staff is almost cool & organized against others. I am a member of several aviation forums (people are supposedly at least educated to the level of a highschool dropout there) and moderator on different kinds of sections.

The traxxas forum is also the place where I found the one and single member I referred to here, and I believe he's happy too.

All we need to do is keep a handle on cellphone linguists and spelling bees, as well as people trying to convince others that their language can be more abusive than anyone elses. For that reason I'm all for age restrictions. Chances are a 8 year old can open a yahoo email account but maybe not one with verizon or timewarner or anything the parents have to approve first.

as a matter of fact i was using my g mail email accounts never even thought about it and yes i agree i don't blame them at all for doing that its completely understandable but i will stick with RCNT anyways!!

But you see, everyone calls Yahoo a "Free" email account, but what about those of us who actually have Yahoo as an ISP?

I have been with Yahoo for almost ten years now and had the same email that entire time- never once had a problem signing up for something that I could attribute to my email address.

I'm constantly adding to the list of banned e-mail domains, as spambots use them to sign up to my forums, but I try to leave the big name places available. I feeel like I'd be locking a lot of people out if I banned places like gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.
