How are you charging your nihms? Are you charging them when they are fully depleted? Are you putting a full charge on them? Nihms have a memory. Other than that I don't know how to.answer that.


NiMH batteries DO NOT have memory problems that the older NiCads did. They can be charged when they aren't completely discharged.
 
You can use a NiMH on a brushless system but its gonna get real hot which will kill battery life and you'll get about 7 minutes of run time out of it tops. At least thats my understanding. I only use lipos so dont quote me on that but I'm fairly certain thats what happens when you use NiMHs in a brushless set up.
 
NiMH packs can be used with a brushless system with no ill effects. Before the price of LiPo packs came down over the past few years, that's all i ran. Traxxas still includes them with a lot of their brushless trucks as a "starter battery." The NiMH batteries just don't have the punch of the LiPo packs.
