Traxxas 2.4ghz question

I have a Tqi transmitter and I remember when I first set it up I had to go through the menu and "tell" my transmitter that it was a nitro stampede. Now that I changed the engine to a 2.5r am I going to have to change the nitro vehicle on the transmitter to one that comes stock with a 2.5r or does it not make a difference.

I'd say it'll only make a difference for the telemetry speeds. Function wise it won't make a difference.

Ok then, that would make sense. I just wasn't sure if it would move the throttle/brake linkage not enough or too far.
