hey guys, i read the sticky on how NCNITRO painted the lid in true fire, but my question is; Is the spaz stix hard annodized metal paint the same thing as transparent? I really wanna try the true fire flame with blue flames. That's my question. thanks guys

Hard Anno is like a candy color. It's transparent and will really take a color when backed in something like white, silver or chrome. If you're going to use it, take your time and let it dry between coats. And do yourself a favor. Paint outside if you can. This stuff reallllllly stinks.

You mean something like this....

This was done with Spaz Stix hard anno blue, using the same method as in the how to I did, only using the blue for both layers rather than yellow and orange.

hey, i was wondering...could you guys find me some links to the yellow/orange paints that i need, except I'm looking for them in a spray can????

huge help guys! and especially you NCNITRO! That's exactly how i wanna paint this lid. Is the dark blue a regular blue or what? sorry i'm new to the painting side of the hobby

ok so i guess i should of specified my question a bit more...In the pic of NCNitro's job, the backing color looks dark blue instead of black like he said he used in his sticky. Will the hard anno blue backed with black turn out dark blue like that? or did he use a dark blue as a backer?

It's backed in black. With the light mist of white on the area where the flames are it still gives it a blueish tinge, which happens when you lay down the flames, the main body of the truck is black. I used the same hard anno blue for both layers of flames, spraying one layer of blue, then a layer of flames, then another layer of the same blue, then another layer of flames, then backed it all with black.

sweet thanks for making that clear for me. I guess now I have to wait till i can find someone that has the hard anno in stock. I have some pactra transparent blue acrylic. That's not the same huh?
