Ok, today I got my e-maxx and when I turned it on it wanted to take off. So I adjusted the throttle trim till the truck would sit idle. The steering was reversed for some reason so I fixed that.

I just want to know, adjusting the throttle trim, does it in anyway effect the esc? Could the esc be bad and thats why the vehicle wants to take off? Is the transmitter just over compensating for a bad esc?

on a electric the throttle trim should be able to be turned all the way off / down

if you turned the trim and it stopped going forword thats what should happen and you did not / will not damage your esc doing so

so whats your first impressions of the emaxx?

It seems very powerfull but that has been my impression with electrics. I never saw what a nitro was like (never could get one started). The e-maxx is fairly heavy with batteries installed.
