hi guys, i was wondering if i could get some ideas about my first nitro rc track :)
it would be for 2 1/10 one buggy and one monster truck

i would like it to be easy to learn on but hard enough so u dont master easy
would like to have a triple or a double, zig zag part and a few fast corners

can u get back to me asap please :D

How much ground do you have to work with? Do you have machinery like a loader? One thing to remember IF you are able to build nice jumps is to not over think it. I've rebuilt my track like 5 times now and the first few times, I made the jumps have enough kick that it really was hard on our rigs when then landed. Seems like one of us would always be broke down after a few laps because of it.
So going with less kick, you get alot easier landing and the ability to have faster laps that way too....Although the buggy's are gonna be way more fun than the monster truck on most clean tracks.

Id try to make a layout on paper with the outline of the track, then try to get the basically layout built so you have the track edge all done so you can race on it as a flat track. Then try planning your jumps. Its easy to lose ambition when you are shoveling jumps, especially if the ground is hard or rocky at all.
As cool as jumps are, I like things that break up the speed, like a tall abrupt bump right before and after a turn. Its a good spot to gain or lose speed on other racers if they go to slow or too fast over it.

Lumber! Use 2x4's and plywood to make your jumps, doubles, triples, etc. Then cover them with a couple inches of dirt. This will save you from having to build them up with dirt, and you can keep it level underneath in case you want to change the layout in the future.

alright guys iv got the plans in and I'm ready to start marking and building the track on Tuesday
ill keep you posted if u want me to

I'm interested in how it goes, I'm getting ready to make my first track as well, but i have a lot of bankens, hills and such so i already have quit the lay out to start on, now heres an idea, dude builds his track, and invites all of rc talk to come over and try it out with him :) then we can come to my place and race some more :) nitro pajama party haha!!

I can say one thing. Don't worry much about the layout being too easy to master, because the 3rd layout I had on my track was by far the most simple, but most fun to race on. Like slowgreen said, don't make the jumps "super jumps" and try and have something for the vehicles to land on to minimize the shock on your rig when it lands.

But most of all....HAVE FUN WITH IT!

alright thanks for the advice guys. Ned so u wanna nitro pajama party at my track, well i live in Australia so if u wanna catch a flight we could ha ha
