touring car and the OS 18tz

Has anyone tried to put the OS .18 tz engine in a touring car such as the TC3 or HPI RS4 3 evo? Is it drop in are there mods to be done? HELP

It is a small block so it will drop in with no modifications.

I put one in my Mugen MTX-3. It was simple, just had to figure out the linkages but that was easy. It's really way too much engine for a little car like that but it sure is fast!!

Well, maybe. It's all about throttle control. It can be a handful to drive but it is nice to know that I have the power to pass anyone, anytime, anywhere but it can get out of control real easy. I probably won't get another 18TZ for my street cars, I'll probably stick with a 12TZ or Rossi 12 or something with more useable power.

the 12tz.. is that powerful enough? is that as powerful as the say stock .14 TC3 rtr engine?

The 12TZ is a turbo engine and will turn more RPM's than say, a stock AE15, so your car will be faster. It kinda depends on what you're doing. If you want to be the fastest guy on your block, up and down the street, then get the 18TZ. If you want to be the fastest guy on the track, I would go with the 12. On the track, useable power is more important than just having the most horsepower.

I bought the 18 cause I saw one run and I just had to have one, I didn't care if it was too much power or not. I have also seen the 12's run and they aint no joke. The fastest guys at my track all have 12's of some kind in them.

Ok I don't think they have tracks close to me that allow nitro touring car racng anyway so I want to be the fastest on the block
