Well... I should have kept my big mouth shut... I sent an email to RPM to see if the breakage of a Revo RPM arm was covered by warranty... apparently, if you even hint at the word "BMX", that voids it...
I guess that tops off my day... I got into a car accident on my way home. First one in many years. I dropped my water, reached to grab it, swerved and ran a guy off the road. I felt so crappy about it. My car has a mark on it about 3 feet long from his mirror touching my car. He over-reacted (can't say I blame him) and swerved through two lanes and into the ditch (at 65mph)
Neither he nor I was seriously hurt, or our cars. He was pretty rattled to say the least, but I have a feeling he's going to claim something medical on the insurance and of course on the damage to his car... 1987 honda.
We sat in my car while the cop called a tow truck to get his out of the ditch. Talk about an uncomfortable silence. But I offered him to sit in the car instead of us both standing out in the cold waiting. We sat there together almost in total silence for 40 minutes.
The cop gave me a citation ($75) for "improper lane usage"... I just kind of looked at the cop and said "no poop!". He chuckled and thanked me for coming back to the scene. Since obviously my car was completely fine. He said 9 out of 10 people that cause something like this flee the scene. I told him my conscience wouldn't allow that.
From RPM answer man: said:Normally, any sort of activity on a BMX track would negate the RPM warranty. If you would like us to review the a-arm anyway, please go ahead and send it in. There is a possibility that we might cover it under warranty because of how it broke but that, I cannot guarantee.
