Well... I should have kept my big mouth shut... I sent an email to RPM to see if the breakage of a Revo RPM arm was covered by warranty... apparently, if you even hint at the word "BMX", that voids it...

From RPM answer man: said:
Normally, any sort of activity on a BMX track would negate the RPM warranty. If you would like us to review the a-arm anyway, please go ahead and send it in. There is a possibility that we might cover it under warranty because of how it broke but that, I cannot guarantee.

I guess that tops off my day... I got into a car accident on my way home. First one in many years. I dropped my water, reached to grab it, swerved and ran a guy off the road. I felt so crappy about it. My car has a mark on it about 3 feet long from his mirror touching my car. He over-reacted (can't say I blame him) and swerved through two lanes and into the ditch (at 65mph)

Neither he nor I was seriously hurt, or our cars. He was pretty rattled to say the least, but I have a feeling he's going to claim something medical on the insurance and of course on the damage to his car... 1987 honda.

We sat in my car while the cop called a tow truck to get his out of the ditch. Talk about an uncomfortable silence. But I offered him to sit in the car instead of us both standing out in the cold waiting. We sat there together almost in total silence for 40 minutes.

The cop gave me a citation ($75) for "improper lane usage"... I just kind of looked at the cop and said "no poop!". He chuckled and thanked me for coming back to the scene. Since obviously my car was completely fine. He said 9 out of 10 people that cause something like this flee the scene. I told him my conscience wouldn't allow that.

tht sucks. atleast no one got hurt. that sucks about the rpm arms. what a way to start the week.

Man, what a BUMMER! I'm glad no one got injured in the car accident, but that does make for a bad day!

Hopefully the rest of the week shapes up better!

It's Monday. Hopefully the rest of the week goes better.

Glad neither of ya got hurt.

Wow I'm glad no one got hurt, but that silence must have SUCKED!

RPM arms are only a few bucks a pair, but I thought the RPM warrently was unlimted...guess not.

Anyway, hope the rest of the week turns out better for ya.

Glad you are both OK. That's some positive karma to you for returning to help the guy.

well, if it makes yuououofeel anybetter my backspcace dey jst quit working no wati itsmy whole keyboard sorryabout your car dude. you're a-ok in my book for sticing around. not many people do that nowadays. sucks about the arms too. well, keyboard seems to be working again. maybe tomorrow will be better!

damn olds, sorry to hear that.....hope the guy can work it out w/o going ovre the top.....what was the damage to his car? just stuck and needed to be towed out of the ditch??

I have no idea. We were running along at 70mph. I swerved, touched his mirror with my rear quarter and he went carreening off the highway. By the time I was able to over, I was 300 yards down the road. It was dark and I never went to look.

Bluebook on a 87 honda accord in excellent condition is 2000... if it was much damage, it was totalled. The cop said it was definitly drivable and he didn't really hit anything. Just went down in the ditch and up the other side and was stuck in the mud.
