when mine came in the settings were too rich for break in even, there was not even smoke, just sputtered fuel out, i leaned it out, broke it in, but it was still to rich to catch second gear, but i have it tuned now and its great, so just tune it till you get a little lean, then back off a bit so there is always just a bit of blue smoke, but not much.
