to slash or not to slash

i really want to get the slash but i need to no if i buy one what batterie and charger should i get i want to get a 7cell but i need some opinions maybe a 6cell idk and i have NO idea of what charger to get,it would be nice if i could get the truck and batterie and charger for around 375 and for a batterie how long would a 1800mah last on race mode? thanks

1800mah would last around 4 min.

You can get a venom 5000mah 7cell for around $50, a basic peaking charger for $75ish, and the truck rtr for 200. thats around 325.

with the 7cell, i was getting a hard 15 minutes.

to slash! I got the DuraTrax Onyx 230 charger and some 7.2V 4200mAh NiMH batteries I feel that I get good runtimes.

It is a real fun truck to have you can beat the poop out of it and it doesn't care! This is a very popular truck and parts are no problem, even though you won't need them. Best 200 bucks I have spent.

Now its time to go brushless!

i have to agree, get it...best truck for the money. as for staying under budget, check out the for sale sections. members are always selling items...chargers, batteries etc. u can score a nice deal on most of the items you need.

i have read NOTHING but good reviews on it.. I'm getting one and i convinced the track near my house to get all the slashes out of the electric class and in a class of their own!! check out the video in my guess who got a slash thread. one of the users on here posted and it shows their slash a lot

The gray one was my brushless, the other one was stock.

I've gone brushless, and havent broken anything yet. and we bash hard. jut ask rollinlow.


unless u consider catching a motor on fire becase i pushed too much voltage to it.

yea, you want a 4200mah minimum to push that 12turn 540 motor.

With a 5000 you should be able to get10 minutes pretty easy...
