I have a T-Maxx classic that I converted to Electric years ago. One of my funnest go to trucks! Stripped quite a few of the same gear over the years, usually one of the forward only conversion gears, meaning you have to buy a whole set. Recently I installed the grey transmission with a locked out first gear. So far I have only sheared a small bar pin a couple times. Replaced with a section of drill bit and has held up good since. This newer transmission seems slower to me. Does anybody know if the newer Gray colored transmission is a slower gear ratio than the black one. I have done a couple changes, but I think I have lost some top speed due to the transmission swap.

Good question... I'm guessing you're using the same pinion/spur gear as before?
