Hello. I just replaced the clutch spring and shoes on my tmaxx as well as put new bearings in the clutch bell. I also put in a new rebuild kit which put in new clutch pads and spring washers. When the tmaxx is idling it will struggle to move forward initially. I have to get the engine rpm pretty high before it moves forward. I tried tightening and loosening the locking nut to see if that would help but it doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions?

I assembled everything according to the traxxas instructions. Double checked everything but still having this issue.

Ok…. This stuff isn’t “paint by number”… If it was right, it wouldn’t have this problem. Again-IF you did the job correctly, and your parts are correct (ENGINE clutch not a higher stall) then your slipper needs attention. Just because you did a job “by the book”, does not mean you can rule that stuff out. Is it working right after the job? Exaaaaaactly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Check the slipper. Does it rev up and not move like it should while gaining rpm’s? If so and it’s not the clutch it’s going to be the slipper.

check the lock nut on the spur gear tighten it In all the way with box end wrench then loosen 1/8 turn if it backs off over time replace the nut.also check the throttle brake linkage your brake might be dragging adjust the linkage if so.
