I was driving my tmaxx today all was good. Brought it in to check temps and fill tank. I shut it down filled tank and wen i started it back up it was moving very slow. Like the clutch wasn't engaging. I took it apart looks ok. My slipper seems ok. What else could it be?

Was the engine reving or was it not reaching any rpm's

There are many reasons why this could be happening,
Ie,blown diff,loose slipper,throttle servo issues,linkadge issues,a carb prob,driveshaft issues,engine clutch,transmission problem,
One thing at a time untill we get to the bottom of this little dilemma

Ok thanks. The throttle seems ok engine reving and idle ok. Just installed slipper upgrade kit. Its about1/2-3/4 turn out if anything its to snug. If i turn either back wheel all wheels spin in that direction. If i spin either front tire the other front spins in the oppisite direction and the rear tires spin
The same as the one I'm spinning. Hope thats not confusing. It seems like somethings not engaging all
The way. It does move a little just dont have full movement

Is there a spool in the rear?...if not then I would have to say there is a rear diff issue

Not sure what you mean by spool. Could the internal clutches of the tranny be slipping?

You said the engine revs ? How high does it rev,and a spool locks your diff so there is an equal amount of power distributed between both wheels,

It revs like it would normally as if i were moving. If i tap throttle slowly it will start to move a little but no torque

I run my slipper about 1/4 turn from snug,

I recently blew my rear diff and the truck still moves fine...just in front wheel drive. Check the clutch spring in the bell, I've had problems with those.

It almost seems like the tranny is not engaging. Slipper all the way snug. Same prob. If i tap throttle slowly it will gradually pick up movement on a flat surface??? I'm stumped!!! Think ill look at tranny. Any other ideas.

If your slipper pegs are worn out it will slip and act like you describe no matter how tight you get it. Especially if your running the stock slipper setup with the round peg fibers.

I would say to pull the trans out and open it up.probably find some stripped gears in there.

I have the slipper upgrade with three shoes no pegs. 3.3 was eating the pegs. Had to upgrade. Shoes still new. Any other ideas. Pulling trans sounding good.ill let u know what i find

If the slipper is tight (you can insert a hex wrench between the fins of the slipper back plate and turn the spur gear to test) and you only get minimal movement from the truck look for broken pins in the tranny or the slipper pin. If you have reverse there will only be 2 pins/pin screws, 1 in the input/top shaft gears and 1 in the forward/revserse primary (middle shaft) gear set. With an FOC there will be another pin screw in the foc gear as well. If all the gears and pins are intact, the slipper is snug and not slipping, engine clutch working correctly, the only other possible problem with the transmission would be the primary OWB.

Had to fix flux xs same issue. Only the pinion in the tranny came loose. Ill take it apart later and get bak to the forums. Ill check the owb.

Owb is ok. I sheared the main gear pin again.. Is there anything i can use that will hold up better?
Also can i just buy the pin? Its m3/12.. I dont need any more gears but for6 buks ill use them.
