tmaxx not moving

check your transmission i stripped my gears inside the trans a couple of days ago.I've been told this is common,i got a new set for around eight bucks from a hobby shop,or u can replace them with a steel set around 130.00 if thats not it and your spur gears are good its got to be the diff. gears but my gears went out in trans qiuck just like what u described.

Its the main gear with the star end male side. The set screw thst holds it in place broke. Just wondering if they make a stronger screw.

Not that I've found. I've had that same set screw break once before.

Only if your slipper was too tight to begin with,like I said earlier on most guys and myself snug the nut and back it off 1/4-1/2 ...any more is too loose ,any less is too tight

Thanks. I thought i read it needed to be 3/4 to1-1/2. That would explain why i was burning through slipper pegs.
Another question.. When i replace the primary gears/yolk pin. Should i lube the gears? I've cleaned everything with wd40 and put a drop of bearing oil on bearings, spun them and wiped off excess. Anything else while I'm in there.

No!do not lube the gears!

Yah don't lube the gears. Lube on the bearings is ok though. I soak my bearings in Dupont teflon bearing lube. That stuff really frees up the bearings and keeps them sealed, I have used it for years on my trucks.
