Hi, I currently own a 3.3 tmaxx with a lil bit done... well alot done to it but anyway its goin n ebay in about a week and I'm buying a brand new 3.3. I plan on after the break in buyin a full aluminum upgrade for looks and all but still want the fun in the performance... PUZZLED? What should i do First and keep the power?

thanks, smoke

i would just buy a all aluminum conversion kit (which is the whole entire complete body frame, shock tower, bumper, a-arms I mean everything) about $300. 2coolrc has one its all integry and its nice lookin.then all's what you have to buy is all the servos, engine etc.....etc.... whats the point of buying a brand new tmaxx and replace all the parts. You would end up spending way to much money buddy. that's what I would do and plan on doing down the road so I can have a "shelf queen" uuuuuhhhhhh..ooooohhhh...BBBBLLLLIIIIINNNNGGGG.

I say if you're going to be bashing with it the aluminum is a bad idea. Especially in parts like the A-Arms.

Whatever you do, stay away from integy. Their parts are nothing special, and there customer service is terrible. If I were you, I would go with a company such as Fast Lane Machine or American CNC Machine. Also there's a company called RC Mall on ebay, and they carry some good stuff.

I have the American CNC Machine, Bulk heads and bumper kit for my T-maxx and i love them, It does add Weight to the car but i have the power to pull it (O.S. 21)

GH Racing has a line of alum. products for T-Maxx you can check them out on our website and we do offer life time warranty on our products

Aluminum looks great on a truck no doubt but if your doing any type of bashing you'll end up bending the aluminum parts I did it first run out and ruined a set of bulkheads. I didn't even hit anything hard just a roll over.

yeah i was going to get aluminum a-arms but a buddy pointed out, if your gonna break anything, break the cheap stuff and getting stronger stuff just finds the next weakest thing. Just my opinion

I've had a all aluminim maxx and yes it looked great it was slow even with a 26. plus it eat clutches like a crak veen. I went with the parts below and had much better luck and it was fast.
Aluminim
bluckheads F/R
shock towers
bumpers F/R
trans case
center chas. Brases
MIP CVCS ALL
all the other parts were the stock plastic With a os 28 and it rips!!!!!!!!!

so you would prefer that i do that than a full aluminum thats spound good. So you would put that big of a motor on it?

Remember tha when you're getting ready to spend that much money on a T-Maxx, you can buy a Savage and have a true 1/8 scale big block truck that will stand up to a good bashing. You'll also have the T-Maxx for backup or to run with your friends, however once you get a Savage you may get rid of the T-Maxx. I like the T-Maxx truck, and I have one myself. It's how I got involved. But after spending a lot of money on my rig, I was getting ready to do a big block conversion. I realized that for less money I could get the Savage X SS and have A LOT more truck. Best decision I ever made. I still have my T-Maxx, as it makes a great shelf queen, but the Savage is much more durable for something that you're going to be running, and you don't have to spend money on parts unless you want to, whereas the Maxx requires a good bit of aftermarket parts just to make it half as bashworthy as the Savvy.

lol.... can't escape the savage lover i see me myself and i bein one someday altough i would have never pictured lol... so how much did you pay for your ss?

Although the savage is a great truck. I and 3 of my friends have had nothing but problems with the shocks. other than that its great but a truck with bent shocks handles like crap. we even tryed the ti coated shock shafts. you will have about 750 to 900$ depending on your moter slection. and as for the moter the OS 28 is as sick a power house as you can get. Stay with the 1/8 scale gear pitch. I went with a savage steel spur 48T and a 18T clutch. to get the sour to go on the 2.5 thans. you will have to buy the robinson racing sliper clutch and you'll only use one half. if you go this way and need some more help I'll send some pitchers.

Just remember the new T Maxx is a lot bigger than the old one. I'm not sure if the alloy chassis were lengthened. I suspect not.
Buy the new one. Its awesome and all I'll be doing with it is the Blue RPM arms, and maybe new shocktowers IF and WHEN I break these ones. It will end up with a Sirio or Picco in it though............
