i just bought a used tmaxx classic off a buddy and was wondering what kind of fuel to use
also i was wondering if these truck were good and how hard they were to maintain

If it has sat for a while, flush everything out with fresh fuel. Pick up some new fuel lines and a glow plug. Get a good ignitor and make sure it is charged. Make sure the tank cap is sealing. Once it's running, if it is getting hot fast and not responding to carb adjustments, it will need sealed. Make sure all the batterys are fresh and that the throttle linkage is working correctly.

these trucks are very good and durable. but they r a little pain in the butt to maintan but so are all the others. i have one myself and love. it.

Did your buddy tell what fuel he was using? That would be a place to start. There are several threads on here about which fuel to use. Just use the search function and it will list them.
