Looks like you made a decision based on what you will be doing with the truck Nitroguy. It will make for a great time have fun with it and let us know when you do upgrade things what you do to it. ;)

who cares about the savage thats not what i am asking

It was mostly a joke but I was also trying to save you some money. If you were buying a used car would you buy one that you knew would break down almost everytime you drove it (Tmaxx) or would you buy one that would go another 100k without breaking (savage).

Tmaxx and Revo are both good rigs but in stock form they will break something almost everytime you run them if you are really bashing. If you dont mind buying the truck and then throwing another $3-400 at it in upgrades then they are fine. A savage can withstand some brutal beatings in box stock form and will keep coming back for more without a single penny spent on it.

I will agree Hpi savage trucks are tough. I am a traxxas guy and always will be. I can tell you when my brother who likes savage trucks and I go out for a day of bashing, my revo and my maxx hangs right there with him. And might I add I can run circles around him as he drives up the road:) Just kidding but I like my TRAXXAS truck best:D

Good for you nitroguy! I wanted to say that but you beat me to it. Every chance these guys get they are going to tell you about how much better the Savage is than anything else and it's just an opinion. Everyone on here can come up with something negative to say about every brand of RC there is. (just like me!) And the fact is that you never asked anything other than questions about Traxxas. I had the Savage and the Tmaxx and the Revo. I got rid of the Savage and the Tmaxx. All three of these trucks are OK if you don't go out and intentionally try to distroy them. Under normal use, you are not going to break anything on that Tmaxx unless you run it into something or try to jump it 10 ft in the air. You will like the Tmaxx.

The only thing that I ever destroyed on my original 5309 Revo 3.3 was the reverse in my transmission. Ever since I removed it, No problems even on big block power.

The only thing that I have ever broke on the Revo is the shocks and that is probably because it came with Integy piggybacks. The only thing I broke on the Tmaxx was the front bulkhead and that was because my son ran it head on into a curb. Other than that, I've ran both for hrs and never broke anything.

Nope just in my normal bashing it seemed to break every single time I ran it until I got enough upgrades on it.

Just a quick list of the stuff I remember breaking

Several Chassis's
more motor mounts than I can count
Two engine blocks
Every control arm atleast once
Rear shocks
pushrods
rocker arms
rocker pivots
exhaust header

and I am sure I forgetting some things

Even after roughly $500 in upgrades there are still parts that I know will break every single time I run it. For instance I bend a rocker pivot every single time I take the truck out bashing so I just replace them after every few runs.

I haven't broke all the parts on my revo, but I replaced pretty much everything on it.....

Only things I have broken on a Revo is a couple A-arms, a pillow ball, both bulkheads (No idea how?) just found them cracked. I bent a chassis (lost signal on an AM radio and ran away). All of those but the bulks were on the same crash.
