...I've got two TMaxx2.5 trucks and I want to use one for bashing and the other I would like to make a racing truck. Both trucks have UE WideMaxx suspensions.

I was wondering what I should start with first to lighten the load on the 'racing' one. The truck is pretty much stock and was wondering if it's worth going with a FOC conversion...

What else would you recommend I do to make a TMaxx 2.5 racing truck?

Thanks...

from all I've read and I'm sure others will argee....sell the max put that money with the money you would spend to upgrade and get a new revo
i dont think you will be able to make the maxx as good as the revo for racing

If you insist on running a maxx, drop as much aluminum as possible. Isn't the UE widemaxx setup aluminum?

Replace all arms with RPM.
Pro-Line Steering Upgrade
Futaba S3305 steering servo
Faster throttle/brake servo
Shim the diffs
Aluminum front bulks (and rears to help with durability)
Drop reverse and get the FOC (I'd do this regardless of racing)
Obvious tire upgrade to some pin or bowtie tires
PRO-Line heavy duty ball ends (really helps improve durability)

I just installed the OS 18 on my rs4 nitro MT and it would be a significant improvement over the 2.5, both in durability and tunability.

Also get rid of the ez-start and go with a roto start or somthing simmilar it will help with weight. and a battery pack for the reciver
I agree get the FOC

Thanks for the info...I'll start looking into some of the recommendations.

Keep 'em coming.

I like my ue widetrack suspension. Hope you got some aluminum bulks&braces. some good shocks, I have the traxxas bb with some silicone oil. tires and wheels are good several things can help you make it a racer.
