I installed an OS 18cvrx into my tmaxx to gain more power and I replaced the OS 12 that was on there but kept the exhaust. Now when I ran the engine for break in it leaked fuel out of the manifold. Over the winter I replaced the manifold bolt with longer ones and replaced the basket as well. Now when I took it out to start my season, its leaking again. The exhaust is an MIP stinger exhaust. I'm not sure if I should got to a side exhaust instead because I still have my original side manifold. Any help would be great thanks Steve.r

It's normal for a bit of unburned fuel to drip out of the exhaust of a nitro engine. I would try replacing the exhaust gasket one more time if it is leaking from the gasket.

going side exhaust

I could see out of the exhaust but not the manifold. I just purchased the traxxas optional tuned pipe for the 1.5 Tmaxx and will be installing it later this week.

maybe it was the gasket?

I just got done finishing the install of the new pipe i purchased and used the stock pro .15 header i had. When i took off the header of the stinger exhaust from the engine, the top part was missing.

I was using this gasket by traxxas:

I also put this pipe on:

I used this gasket I had lying around for the new setup:

As i was installing the new traxxas gasket it litterally fell apart in my hands. You could definitely tell the difference in quality. One question i do have is that can a gasket with a smaller opening hold back exhaust flow?
