Me too my dude! I was lucky enough to grab up a few kits for what I knew I’d be needing in the not too distant future as they were closing up.. Their stock at vendors dried up QUICKLIKE when people started figuring out what was going on.. I’m not a fan of the J&T’s, and JConcepts are high as giraffe nuts imo.. I recently grabbed a set from T-Work’s as the grade is what you want, and they are almost exact copies of Lunsford’s design.. Same way with the Flash Point units I grabbed up for my RC8B3.2 (Mugen parts fit the RC8’s as Associated literally stole Mugen’s design, and stamped “AE” on it🙄).

I’m patiently waiting for Avid to release their “Ringer” Ti-buckles for all of us 1/8 guys.. I’ve been talking to them steady for months now, and they ARE coming… and they are absolutely SIIIIIICK…

🤩🤩🤩 puuuuuuure secks IMO…
My turnbuckles are 3mm... 🤔
These things look HOT!

I learned my lesson on domed Ti5 droop screws. Avid ones. Very nice pieces. I ended up machining 2 of them flat. I also ended up purchasing Klinik Flat Ti5 droop screws. Much better. Titanium is strong. But not as strong as steel. Their elongation % is much different. Titanium is just tougher & ultimately corrosion resistant.
Half the hardware, even some rust on the springs!
Corrosion resistance is a good point!

Grab your calipers, your stockers, and give Avid a call. They’ll be more than happy to help you get situated fella. 🍻🤘

FWIW-unlike 99% of black oxide fasteners out there; I’ve NEVER had any issues with Tony’s corroding/rusting.. Wherever he sources them-he did his homework. 😉

Klinik website is pretty cool.
They’ve got some pretty sweet coatings/treatments. They’re not super easy to deal with directly in my experience however.. Could’ve just been the folks I was lucky enough to talk to..

Just sit right down here and lets open up that check book. Eh??? 🤣
I will have to do some measuring while its all broke down here.
I'll get a list together and see. I'm pretty sure avid had a few other tasty items I was into.
I'll check again.

Yes! Cut and dry ordering! Perfect!

I wasn’t tryin’ to come across like thaaaaaat lolz… 😅

I just mean it can be hard to find a pre-packaged “kit” for anything but the “in”/current/baddest shiit since sliced bread and the Easter Bunny kits folks race regularly is all.. Avid is one of the companies I know for certain has no problem at all sorting those guys out, and as you saw-they definitely have a lot of other swanky goodies for sure.. Klinik was supposed to be that way as well, and I do like their stuff. Like I said-it was likely just who I spoke to over there.. They could’ve just been having a shiit day.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I forgot about ACER-nothing wrong with them either. Annnnnnnnnd Wookie approved. 😉

No, not you but is the way the hobby (and most of the world) works.
Sign your life away and we'll break ground on Monday or drive it off the lot, etc... 🤣
There's lots of candy to be purchased, even for an old kit like this one!
I'm enjoying catching up and drooling over all the products etc...
The prices on some of it is a bit much but generally speaking, this is what I excpected.
Finding new suppliers and going a bit overboard is all part of the fun!!!
