What tires are you guys running and what conditions to you run in?

I am going to be upgrading from the stockers soon and some input would be helpful since there are now some choices available.

My track is hard packed and very slick with a thin layer of dust on top and proline switches dont seem to make a difference at all over the stockers. I'm gonna try mauraders siping trick first on some stockers but then prolly get some Goosebumps.

I use stock, mainly because they're cheapest, and I mainly run spec class. I want to try to get some Goosebumps/Rulux wheels soon, and see how those do. My track is EXACTLY like yours Sng. It's hard packed, with a thin layer of dust. I've adapted pretty well to it, but still. I need to gradually increase throttle in the straightaways. I do like being able to drift the tight turns however.

I went for a set of goose bumps to go with the Rulux wheels.

They are cheaper than the bow ties which were my other choice.

Goose Bumps for sure. The Bow Ties are ok, but not as good as the Bumps. There are new tires coming soon on the Losi, HPI and Jammin trucks that will give us more options, and I recently saw pics of a pre-production BFG Baja T/A replica. I expect this tire to dominate on clay tracks when it arrives.

try some gladiators when you where those out, they hook like crazy imo. guess it depends on what kinda surface you will be running on though.

I am looking for some gladiators for my slash build now. Liking the grab they have in the corner and the ease they give coming out of the bend as well.

i got mine at amain, i think they were on sale then for like 16 a pair.

Hobbytown only allows 3.0/2.2 tires, otherwise id try the 2.2 tires. Stock traxxas and switch tires work the best on pavement though.

I race at a hard packed clay track that can get very dusty.
I have now 17mm adapters an race with 1/8 buggy tires.. I like the GRP tires alot.
GRP cubic or GRP atomic.

before I ran the jconcepts goosebumps on stock slash rims..
