got the truck ready to go now, time to start her up.

i planned on running a full tank idling and the second idling and putting around then the third w/ accelerating and slowing down. what do yall think. maybe just 2 idling then the rest putting around b4 i open her up good.

for yall w/ the savage 25, tell me what worked best for you.

I followed the manual for break in and it worked out great ..

I ran about 6 tanks through it b4 i started to play with the hsn :)

then again it was my 1st nitro so what do i know :)

my 2 cents hope it helps :juggle:

I would run at least 5 or 6 tanks thru it before you really start hammering on it hard, and be sure and watch your temps. they will heat up fast when it is still tight...hmmmm that sounded like my wife LOL good luck:cheers:

starter her up

i started her up, as alwayz...had to loosen plug to cope w/ the high compression to start it. idled 1 tank through and putted around here and there when the tank was about gone. all is good so far, I'm gonna play w/ it more after work, will keep yall posted.

A good method would be to just idle the 1st tank, then after that tank is gone make sure the piston is at BDC (bottom dead center) and let it cool, then for the 2nd tank try to run it in a 20 foot circle and go up to about 1/2 throttle for 10 feet and let it coast for 10 feet, keep doing this for the entire 2nd tank, then let it cool down again as mentioned for the 1st tank, on the 3rd tank increase the circle to about 30 feet and get it up to about 3/4 throttle for 15 feet and let it coast for 15 feet........do this for the entire tank the let it cool again...........for the 4th and 5th tanks try to moderate between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle for 10 - 20 feet and let it coast for about the same distance and let it cool after each respective tank, after that you can see about adjusting the HSN for more power.

yeah the best way is to do what road rage did i kind of did the same thing and it broked in correctly.

goooood luck with your truck.
