Time for the Storm sub forum to come home?

Although I started this damn idea , my idea and vote was NOT for a storm sub forum, but an all out Storm forum, I am sticking to my guns in saying that a full storm forum would have worked just fine, and knew damn well that a storm sub forum would not! Just wanted to state that! I do think its kinda funny that a 1/18 micro forum shows up out of the blue though! I dont remember voting for it,I am sure I would have voted a yes, but I would have had to boycott it afterwards! and I do think HB smokes too much!

And just a side note:: This poll was not posted by Woodie or a mod, does this mean anyone can post their own polls?, I dont think so! WTF???

to post a poll click new thread, at the bottom you will see a check box "Yes Post a Poll" in bold, check that then choose the number of options in the box and viola a poll.

I could care less about it. But if I had a storm I'm sure I'd want a forum to talk about an issue if there was that many storm owners.

i think the 1/8 scales are pretty much all the same layout/design wise that most questions to one car pertain to a majority of the others.... And prob would get more traffic in 1/8 scale vs storm

When it comes to 1/8 scale buggy hop-ups on this site i have noticed 3 things:

1) Any ofna's i read on here are from owners that are happy to just have a car.

2) When it comes to Kyosho...Mugen...often i read about how much someone wants one..but doesn't actually have one...(this doesn't apply to all,,,but most)

and 3) And now...The Storm. Quiet often...more than the others mentioned above., theres more questions about hop ups and other related material concerning the Storm.

Do a search..see with your own eyes...its true. So why not have a Storm Forum?

Just an honest evaluation...not playing favorites here.:violin:

I've said it before and I'll say it again... It's all about trial and error. When I voted for a sub-forum, I was'nt thinking. You still need to go through the 1/8 forum and look for the Storm sub-forum at the bottom of the page. To me, this is lost. Most members have no idea it's there. If it was it's own forum, it would be plain to see.
As of now, the forum has been dead for about 10 days now. Most everyone uses the 1/8 buggy forum for ? n A. It's really tough to say.
I think we should give the Storm it's own forum for a 2 week trial. There after, we should let the members decide if it is worthy.


PS.. I voted HB smokes a lot.

This is the #1 point I was trying to make from the begining!
I actually thought this was how it was going to be done(2 week trial) instead of being burried at the bottom where it was totally useless!

While at first I voted for the subform I am going to vote that it be moved back to the 1/8th forum. Being at the bottom of the 1/8th forum is pretty useless. Heck even when I made two posts about my Storm when I got it I completely forgot about the Storm forum at that moment in time.

Calm down there killer! I dont see a problem here at all. In fact, I thought we had accommodated the need quit well. Its not as if we have an OFNA, Kyosho or Mugen sub-forum!

In regards to your comment about the 1/18th micro forum, we put this out there to meet the needs of ALL mini-micros out there. Its not the 'team Losi mini T' forum. Its a whole class and variety of cars.

Maybe we can go ahead and just stop the whole sub-forum idea and leave it the way it was. Otherwise we may just have to accommodate all the different makes out there.

Yeah your right Çh®i§tiªñ! WTF was I thinking? A storm forum!!! My bad!! Just another one of those stupid ideas that would have worked, but was looked at as an accommodation rather than usefull tool for the mass storm population of this site!

This is what I said from the beginning, when does it end? A sub-forum for every vehicle? that would just be rediculous. Whats next, a TC3 forum, RS4 forum, no, keep them all in touring cars, just as the buggy forum should have been left. Although I have noticed an increase in the amount of buggy owners here lately, I still saw no need to seperate the forum, at least not yet. I thought it was working fine until one or two members got a storm and then wanted their own forum. On the other hand I think the micro forum, that covers ALL micro rcs, not just one make was a great idea. Just my 2 cents though.

OK nevermind, I want a RS4 forum, and no damn sub forum either! You with me Candyman, lol?

So I guess it does matter what you own, and how much you have here! I am no longer confused! Thank you for that well thought out post Nitro! It clears up any confusion one may have of wheather or not a sub forum would work at all, and they dont!
I guess me and that one other member who owns a storm should just move on now!

As I debated in the first thread, sub forums don't work. Information gets fragmented and isn't as easy to find.

Who wants to scroll all the way to the bottom of a forum to find a sub forum? People are lazy. Sub forums are for hiding stuff you don't want in the mainstream. Look at the bottom of the General Chaos forum. Perfect place. I believe other than the Free for All that the Storm is the only other sub forum we have and brakes the general format and layout of RCNT.
