I noticed that too Rob. Congrats buddy. That's one hell of a deal you got there. What mill you gonna put in it? I got an RG and JP-2 on order... should've got a JP-1 but oh well. aside from mill and pipe I finished the build last week. Workin on the body now.

Yeah, I was going to buy the kit and the upgrades but that was too good to pass up. Lots of spare parts and upgrades. I actually plan on tearing it down when it comes and then re-building it to make sure it is done correctly.

I plan on putting in an OS V-Spec with the 2050 header and pipe.

sweeeeet. Originally, I was planning on a V-spec as well. But then I realized that being a newbie to racing that was probably way too much mill for me. Too much money for my abilities. I'll start out with my RG, If I get reasonably good I can always upgrade later. Good idea on rebuilding it... especially the diffs n stuff. I know my suspension settings are waaaay off from normal. If you build it according to manual specs you get a shitload of rear camber and a shitload of front toe-out. But then again I'm new so it might not be as excessive as I think. But one of my LHS guys thought it was pretty excessive as well.

What settings has it got lessen
Camber front and rear
Toe in rear
Toe out front
casters
etc

Sweet! Glad to here a mill is on the way. You will have to post pics when it's all done. I don't know what kind of tracks you will be running on, but the JP-2 is for top end power, and the JP-1 is low-mid power band.

Hypedon - yeah, I know. I'm gonna have my LHS get me a JP-1 and send the JP-2 back. I'm gonna race at K & B racetrack.. way out east off I-90, I've seen the place once and it's pretty technical. I don't know why I ordered a JP-2. I think I just didn't realize how technical it was.. It's the first R/C track I've seen so I guess I didn't have anything to compare it to.

Mike - I don't know the actual settings by there standard measurements. I just built the linkages by what the directions said. For example... XXmm between rod ends. I don't have the tools to measre degrees of toe or camber yet ... I guess I could pick one of those up.

Alot of the fun IMO is trying different stuff out. I'm quit use to the JP-1. It would be interesting to put a JP-2, or any other pipe on to see the differance.

I changed my order yesterday. they called to let me know myu pullstart had come in, so I changed it since I had 'em on the phone.

changed it from 2 to 1. sorry, didn't see your post till now.

Remember that amazing chassis that everybody been talkin about? Well, it's ain't indestuctable. I think I bowed mine. just slightly. Smacked a few trees dead center in my back yard... with fairly good speed too. Oh well, actually it didn't tweak anything in the center diff area, nothings cracked or broken. Only reason I noticed is because the spur is now running about 1mm rearward of center on the CB. No big deal. Doesn't even affect the gear mesh.

I noticed the same thing. Brought mine more in line with how my OFNA Hyper 7 PCR is set up. Had the settings double-checked by the guys at Nitrohouse.com. They said it should be ok. I guess I need to get a set-up board to make sure they all match side to side.

Has anyone noticed how cheap the turnbuckle materials are? Mine seem to be chrome plated metal. I guess I could see if anyone makes a better TB already. TT does not have one on their upgrade list.

I have had my tie rods pull right out of the ends already, twice actually. I think the tie rods could stand to be a little longer so they tighten into the ends further.

I would but I do not know the thread size. I can get the diameter and length, and thread length, but the actual thread count/size may be hard to judge.

So, if it doesn't look the same you'll have to buy new ends.

exactly.

I'm already using Dubro heavy duty ends at the knuckles... I have to mod them though to fit over the rods.. no big deal, just drill it out a tad
