throttle/steering shakes

my throttle shakes back and forth real fast but not quite enough to rev it I don't think. steering shakes too. only when I steer right. any answers???

its some knid of interferance. Or your servos can be bad but i dought that. It is proubly a cut wire or someone has the same radio band.

check batterys - when they go low weird things happend.. (shaking is one of them)

no I just put new batts. in and still happens. it happens a little more inside than outside though. which is good. it might be cuz we have wireless internet and waves are travling through the air. I don't kno.

Yes its sad but true, but these new RTR kits come with the CRUMMIEST radios on the market. and they always break.better to upgrade.

Sometimes the vibration can ruin a servo. Once they have taken a few hits they will vibrate and twitch on their own without any interference. Sound like you may just need a new servo. Try swapping the leads for the throttle and steering servos and see if the same servo has the twitch. If it does, you have a faulty servo. Good luck.

I got water in my servo once and it twitched, cleaned it with denatured a few good times and let it dry viola it worked again.

The twitching of the servo is often referred to as glitching. This can be caused by any number of things, but most often is caused by electronic interference of some sort.

I recommend checking all connections for a snug fit. You may want to try swapping the servo connector into the other channel on the receiver and see if the glitching continues. If it stops, odds are the connection on the original channel wasn't snug.

I also recommend checking for wires that may have rubbed through.

Glitching can be caused by metal to metal contact on the car itself. When the engine is running (assuming this is a nitro vehicle) the vibrations caused by the engine cause loose metal to metal joints to vibrate and cause an EM field that can glitch a servo. I recommend making certain all metal to metal contact is solid and use loctite to ensure it stays that way.

Thanx for all ur help guys. This is an old thread and I sold the truck. I love the stock T-maxx radio. But the savage radio's a diff story, my lhs says they've had to send some back to HPI cuz they didn't work outta the box, maybe I mentioned that but o well. Well I took it to my lhs and at first they said it was definetly the radio, HPI. So I got a TQ3 and it did the same. hen they said it was not getting the correct power somewhere. So We took a lot of wires off and put in a new switch and if I have it trimmed enough it doesn't do it at all, but if I have it trimmed up more it moves about 3 mm.

Not to beat a dead horse, but...

I put a welded stainless roll cage on my maxx which resulted in metal to metal vibration where it mounted to the chassis plate. This cause a large amount of glitching. I have since removed it and purchased New Era's 3 point roll bar and the glitching is now only a memory. At least until the battery pack drops below 5volts.

I'm useing JR xr2 radio and 125 receiver.
