Hi again,
My question is two parts: first, I keep burning up throttle servos, I've broken two in the last month... any ideas as to why this might be happening? Secondly, as the title suggested I'm looking for recommendations for my next purchase of a 1/8 scale throttle servo, the last one I bought was 15 dollars and it only lasted two sessions, so I'm thinking maybe I should spend a little more this time (but not too much more, buying servos is kind of boring...).
thanks everyone!

Someone once told me that it could be the end point settings that put the servo in a constant strain ,I am not
sure ,because I only have one RC that does it ,an I have 13 RC's ,it is my throttle servo on my 5th scale ,I burnt
3 of them out!
I thought it might be the batt switch not shutting the power off while not using the RC as well .possible!

What are you putting it on? 1/10th? 1/8th buggy? MT? 1/5th?

I only run waterproof servos now, ones with an o-ring on the output shaft. Had too many run aways due to water getting down into the motor/circuit board.

I've used the hitec 985MG for years on my nitro revos and savage. It's since been replaced with a 5985 or 7985. It isn't cheap though. I used one on my 5B SS as well for t/b, but it worked hard to slow that truck down. Otherwise, they have lasted many many years in my other trucks as t/b servos. Pretty sure I still have the first one I bought 10+ years ago in one of my trucks.

I recently just started using a jx servo in my ERBE for steering. It's not overly fast, but there are others that are for around $30. I don't know the longevity of the JX, but so far it's doing ok.

This is what I'm running in my ERBE for steering, decent servo for $20:

If you want something a bit faster, even on 6V could give this a try for $40:
